Intense ruby ​​red. The bouquet is floral with subtle hints of cherry. Dry, harmonious, and mild with a light bitter almond finish. The vineyards are located in the St. Magdalener wine-growing region near Bolzano in South Tyrol. The vineyards are trained using pergola, keeping yields below the legal maximum, and fermentation is controlled to ensure optimal ripeness. After vinification at controlled temperatures, the wine is refined in large oak barrels. After several months of bottle aging, the wine is finally released for sale. In 1869, the ancestors of the Walch family acquired a Jesuit monastery and built a largely underground winery in the heart of Tramin. This historic core of the winery is still used for the cellaring, aging, and storage of the wines. Walch's success is based on the operation of carefully selected, renowned vineyards. Over the last two decades, the company, which is still owned by the Walch family, has been able to further enhance its reputation through outstanding quality and international export success.
